Julia and Matt’s wedding was incredible. The sun shone through the trees at The Farm at South Mountain, draping them in golden light as they shared an intimate moment, seeing each other before the ceremony. Matt has this amazing sense of humor that causes Julia to laugh such a beautiful and genuine laugh as soon as she’s in his presence. Their love stood the test of time and distance, and because of that, every single moment in each other’s arms seem to be more meaningful than the last. Their friends and family are just as joyful as they are, and were so excited to celebrate the love these two share!
With fun and meaningful details filling their day, such as her uncle officiating the ceremony, an art piece of a bike (referring to their fun tandem bike engagement session), drawn by her aunt to use for guests to sign, the card-box made by Matt’s mother and darling cacti picked out by Julia herself as centerpieces for the reception. Perhaps the most special detail occurred during the cake cutting, during which they shared a tradition that has lasted for generations in Julia’s family. Her brother explained the history of the sword, a Calvary saber that belonged to her great great grandfather, that has been passed on from generation to generation and used on her grandparent’s, her parent’s and now Julia and Matt’s wedding cake.
With traditions old and new, joyous family and friends, and the gorgeous surroundings of The Farm at South Mountain, Julia and Matt’s day was organic, emotional, and simply beautiful!
