Believe me, Mallory and Brian’s engagement session will forever stand out in my mind. I was in the zone. I had them posed and was photographing away. Things were going wonderfully until I heard a hiss… a slight hiss, and within a split second, it hits me. Water. Everywhere!!! After being threatened and harassed by golf course sprinklers over the years, it finally happened, I was attacked! And by the time I not-so-gracefully ran screaming across the grass, to safety, I was drenched. I’m talking hair dripping, shoes sloshing, camera wet drenched. I looked up and noticed Mallory and Brian got hit with it a little too, and we just stood there laughing. Thank goodness that I have the most amazing clients ever! The kind of people who will go to crazy lengths sometimes for a shot, and the kind who can laugh with me when things go awry! We agreed that it was a perfect time for an outfit change, so the two of them headed to the locker room as I dried my baby girl camera off and laughed alone on the side of that golf course louder than I should have. And when they returned, we stuck to the desert. And let me just tell you, Mallory & Brian blew my mind! They made that desert look killer that evening! It’s obvious they’re head over heels for each other. It turns out that the whole incident was the golf course telling us to head 30 feet further down the path… I cannot wait to capture their wedding at DC Ranch this spring!!!
