When Kathryn and I first spoke on the phone, I could tell I was dealing with some serious sweetness. She exuded so much personality and happiness as she spoke about her fiancee Collin and the plans for their wedding that I could feel it all the way across the country. A few months later, Kathryn and Collin flew into Phoenix, from where they’re currently living in Georgia, to visit family for the holidays. Of course they also took advantage of the wonderful Phoenix weather at that time to get some great engagement photos. Her eyes glittered with pride and excitement as she took us to neat little areas in Arcadia that she knew from growing up there. Although I used to live down the street myself, it was so fun seeing the area through her eyes. I felt like I was seeing it for the first time myself! It was equally adorable watching how smitten Collin was with her. Some couples just fit so well that those of us around them find it hard to imagine one without the other. Even though I had just met them, it was clear that they fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. Time flew as we chatted, joked and cracked up as if we were old friends. By the end of the session we even decided to get a little wild and trespass a little. But for a shot with views like this, can you blame us?!? Don’t try this at home kids…

I can’t wait to capture their wedding! Hopefully we’ll stay out of trouble, but I can’t make any promises!
