Gelato, an open bar, and a full dance floor all night long… need I say more?! Emily and Michael knocked it out of the park with their romantic desert wedding at Troon North Golf Club.
Michael and Emily’s wedding was gorgeous, revolving around a fall color palette that included different shades of gray, gold, ivory and pops of hunter green. These colors were beautifully complimented by the desert surrounding them as they exchanged vows in front of friends, family, and their officiant, (Emily’s childhood pastor.)
Emily walked down the aisle in a jaw dropping Maggie Soterro gown with exquisite beading and Michael was waiting for her at the alter, adorned in a dark gray suit with a black and gray paisley tie. The bridesmaids were dressed in floor length dresses, each a unique style and different shades of gray (only 4… not 50… we know you were thinking it), while the groomsman were looking dapper in black suits with gray ties. Their ceremony site was simple yet stunning with lanterns, eucalyptus, and cream rose petals lining the aisle.
The Moffet’s big day wouldn’t have been possible without the DIY queens! (Emily, her twin sister and maid of honor, Morgan, and their mom, Lori). Something that made this wedding different from most was the amount of personal touches and DIY that they put in to it before the big day! Emily’s bridal bouquet had a piece of lace from Lori’s wedding gown wrapped around the base and Lori had also hand beaded Emily’s veil just 3 days before…say what?! Amazing!
Ever wondered what you could do to make your wedding day more unique and personal? Instead of traditional floral centerpieces, Michael and Emily, (well…. if we’re being honest, just Emily (sorry Michael!)) made theirs more personal by hand crafting their centerpieces. They paired lush eucalyptus leaves with hand painted gold pillar candles and mercury glass filled with tea candles in the center of each table with gold table numbers. They had collected the unique pillar candle holders from local thrift stores and hand painted them gold to match their color pallete. A perfect budget friendly DIY project that gave their reception a personal touch!
Overall, Emily & Michael’s wedding was a stunning success! Their romantic ceremony in this beautiful desert oasis we call home was definitely one to remember, and it set the stage for a marriage full of love, laughter, and happily ever after!
